Day 28: 2 Kings 14-25

In the text for today we see both the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom getting taken into captivity. Yet we also see the long-suffering patience and faithfulness of God.

Day 27: 2 Kings 1-13

Wow! The stories of Elisha are amazing! The main theme in these chapters is the resurrection power of our God. It was in Elijah, it was in Elisha (and in his bones!) and yes, it is in us!!

Day 26: 1 Kings 9-22

1 Kings leads us through the highs and lows of Israel's relationship with God...and it is alot of lows! But through it all we see the sovereignty and grace of God.

Day 25: 2 Samuel 20-24, 1 Kings 1-8

Today as King David passes and King Solomon rises to power, we see the faithfulness of God. He keeps his covenant from one generation to the next. The humans are messy, but God is consistent and faithful.

Day 24: 2 Samuel 7-19

In today's text we see many of the highs and lows of David's life. Most importantly, see how the text point us to Jesus, who takes away our sin.

Day 23: 1 Samuel 25-31, 2 Samuel 1-6

Today brings us through Saul's downfall and David's rise to the throne. All along we see the faithfulness of God and his protection over those who follow him.

Day 22: 1 Samuel 13-24

What amazing text we get today! God listens and communicates, God protects, God never changes his mind, and God is stronger than any evil we will ever face.

Day 21: 1 Samuel 1-12

God is our King, and he desires to have our hearts follow him only. He is holy; he is powerful; he is King.

Day 20: Judges 13-21, Ruth 1-4

In today's very challenging text we focus on the shocking love and faithfulness of God.

Day 19: Judges 1-12

Judges is a sad cycle of forgetting God, sin, oppression, forgiveness, and deliverance. It is very real, raw, and can be disheartening to read. On the other hand, we can see our own patterns of walking with God, falling away, sin, and asking God yet again to come and rescue us.
